Davies Veterinary Specialists was the first veterinary practice to achieve accreditation from Investors in the Environment (iiE) in 2018 and now we are the first to work with leading clinical waste management company Sharpsmart. We were awarded Silver iiE accreditation for “making an excellent start to implementing an effective environmental management system” and for positioning the practice “as a green leader in its sector”.
Through our collaboration with Sharpsmart we now intend to continue our drive to innovate change in the industry, and share experience and knowledge on how to improve environmental practice performance.
Sharpsmart is the world’s safest and most environmentally responsible sharps and clinical waste management system, clinically proven to reduce sharps injuries and eliminate over 30% of sharps waste in its first year of use. Their innovative approach to making healthcare safer has helped facilities across the UK to:
